Frank Wiegand (born 1943) is a German former swimmer, Olympic medalist and previous world record holder. He was born in Annaberg. He participated in the 1960, 1964 and 1968 Summer Olympics, winning a total of four silver medals.[1]

In 1966, at the European Championships he won the gold medal in the 400-meter freestyle, ahead of Russian Semyon Belits-Geiman.[2]

He held the world record in 400 metres freestyle in 1966.
